About CCOED
The Canadian Council of Eosinophilic Disorders is a non-profit society formally established in 2006 after years of conception. Our board of directors and medical advisory board are dedicated to ensuring that only the most accurate, up-to-date information is available to our members.
Our Mission Statement:
To provide education, awareness, support and research assistance for patients, families and physicians dealing with eosinophilic disorders.
Our S.M.A.R.T. Goals:
Specific: Our first goal is to raise awareness about EGID's across Canada with both physicians and patients through fundraising, educational materials, and a greater website presence.
Measurable: We will be able to determine how many people we have reached out to through measuring our fundraising database, website traffic, and direct inquiries.
Attainable: Through the dedication of our volunteers and board of directors, we will be able to attain a 10 fold increase in people involved with CCOED in response to our awareness efforts.
Realistic: The reality of this goal is that awareness NEEDS to be generated as a stepping stone for the rest of our long term goals and for generating the funds required to create a definite Canadian presence in this field.
Timely: We have set a date of the end of our next fiscal year end to achieve this goal.
How We Achieve Our Goals:
Fundraising: We have our online store where you can purchase a variety of items to show your support. We also hold various fundraising campaigns throughout the year and accept donations on a regular basis. Periodically, we will accept donations from corporations to help us with certain projects that we apply directly to them for.
Education: We have a variety of educational brochures that are distributed throughout Canada in physicians offices, health units, and hospitals to let people know we are here to help. You can also request these brochures for free by contacting us.
Quality: CCOED ensures that only the highest quality of material and information is presented. Our medical advisory board ensures that only the most accurate and up to date material is printed, and our board of directors ensures that any products that are sold either as a fundraiser, or given as a resource, are of the highest quality.
Where We Plan to Go:
CCOED's long term goals are to become Canada's leading resource for physicians, patients and their families for Eosinophilic Disorders. We will achieve this the same way we all climb a mountain, one step at a time!
